With the loan signing of Radamel Falcao for a fee reported to be £9m, Louis van Gaal's summer transfer spending at Manchester United has reached £158m.
That number brings the Dutchman's net spend record to just £65m less than that spent in Sir Alex Ferguson's 21 seasons in the Premier League and £16m short of Jose Mourinho's transfer spending at Chelsea.
That makes him the 6th highest spending manager in Premier League history:
