This afternoon, Burnley pulled off an impressive draw with Premier League leaders Chelsea.
But the real hero at Turf Moor today wasn’t on the pitch.
Early in the game, Burnley striker Ashley Barnes fired off a long-range effort. Unfortunately, it wasn’t on target – it was however, heading straight towards the face of a young fan.
Luckily, the guy standing behind them stepped up to the plate when it mattered, swatting it away with cat-like reflexes.
With those skills, there are a few teams down the bottom of the league that would probably be pretty happy to have him in goal right now.
It was a lucky escape for the fan, but not everyone is so lucky – back November 2014, Machester City’s Yaya Toure hit a five year old girl smack in the face with this devastating strike.
(Don’t’ worry, she was fine!)
