A magazine in 1998 predicted what David Beckham would look like in 2020 – and it’s very wrong

At this point we're all largely in agreement that David Beckham is one of the best looking veteran footballers out there, but one magazine didn’t think so.

It’s literally a fact if we're going on the standards pop culture has set us over the last 20 years. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder was voted The Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine in 2015, and that’s just one of many accolades awarded to the former footballer.

Which is why it makes the following all the more hilarious.

Twitter user Ian Walker was going through some old FourFourTwo magazines from 1998, when he came across one about the football legend.

In it, the magazine mocked up an image of what they think David would look like in 2020.

Without further ado, here it is:

Yeah. They were a little off the mark, considering this is what he looks like these days:

As you can see, he has all his teeth.
