British wrestler calls out Boris Johnson and says he is a 'd*******'

Of all the sports that we expected to see weigh into the current political state of the UK, professional wrestling probably wouldn't be at the top of the list.

However, we shouldn't be too surprised when the wrestler in question is Zack Sabre Jr, who is an outspoken critic of the Tories and a proud Labour supporter.

Sabre Jr, who primarily competes in New Japan Pro Wrestling has lashed out at the current prime minister in the past but went a step further after winning a match on Friday.

After he and his tag team partner Minoru Suzuki beat the team of Ryusuke Taguchi and Hiroshi Tanahashi, the Brit went on a post-match rant aimed at the later, who recently beat him for the British heavyweight championship (which also prompted a Johnson themed outburst).

While aiming his insults at Tanahashi, Sabre briefly turned his attention to the prime minister, who, after the week he has had, definitely wouldn't have wanted to hear that a wrestler wants to fight him.

In a spectacular rant, aimed at promoting his rematch with Tanahashahi in Beppu, Japan, the 32-year-old said:

Oi, Boris Johnson. Boris Johnson, I'm winning this [championship] and then I'm coming for you d*******.

The Ace [Tanahashi's nickname] is dead. Long live the new prime minister of the UK, Zack Sabre Jr.

Despite, Sabre Jr playing a bad guy in New Japan people couldn't help but enjoy this takedown of the prime minister.
