It's officially the beginning of Star Wars week so how about a prescient study detailing Luke Skywalker's descent into "jihadism"?
With a mound of articles being written in the run-up to the release of new film Episode VII - The Force Awakens this Thursday, the award for most 'out there' probably goes to this study from the Decider which tracks Luke Skywalker's trajectory from "simple farm boy gazing into the Tatooine sunset" into "the radicalised insurgent of Return of the Jedi."
Unconvinced? Well, the article, aptly titled The Radicalisation of Luke Skywalker, likens Ob-Wan Kenobi to a jihadi recruiter, pushing young Luke towards a life of extremism, and Yoda to a cleric who robs the young Jedi of an identity, wiring him with "hardline religious fervour".
