The Spice Girls were one of the biggest girl bands in the world in the 1990s, becoming pop culture icons with their “girl power” mantra.
But Victoria Beckham has now revealed the moment she decided she needed to 'Stop (right now)'.
Posh Spice said she realised it was time to move on at an Elton John concert in Las Vegas.
"He performed 'Tiny Dancer,' as if it were the first time, and you realised this was like oxygen for him," the now fashion designer wrote in a letter to her future self for British Vogue.
"It was a life-changing moment — while singing and dancing was fun for you, it wasn't your passion."
Beckham went on to say: “That day, you started your quest to uncover your own dreams. It was time to step away from being a Spice Girl."
She described the first time venturing out on her own as “terrifying”.
“It was scary to close a chapter that defined you," Beckham added.
Her first passion in the attempt to “Spice Up Your Life” was fashion. Since then, she has become a “Wannabe” beauty mogul in recent years.
Beckham believes her future self will still be reinventing herself, taking on new challenges and “ignoring the naysayers”.
“What comes next? I'm dying to know."
Although Posh Spice returned for a Spice Girls performance at the 2012 London Olympic Games closing ceremony, she chose not to join her former bandmates for their most recent reunion tour in 2019.
