The famous opening sequence of the Simpsons has been recreated in pixel form by a team of animators.
Paul Robertson and Ivan Dixon created the graphics, while the arcade-style theme tune was composed by Jeremy Dower.
The team saved their real creativity for the "couch gag" at the end of the sequence, where a six-armed Marge, a Medusa-like Krusty the Clown and a three-eyed Bart all feature for a psychedelic send-off.
