The Rock has had quite a year of it, hasn't he? Despite his overwhelming wealth and fame the movie star has managed to get himself into all sorts of situations.

The former WWE wrestler was forced to rip the gates off of his own house after a power outage, he cut his head open after a gym accident and also managed to get coronavirus.

Now, he has revealed that he managed to get stuck in a sports car while shooting his new movie because he was just too big.

In an Instagram post, Dwayne Johnson, explained that while filming his forthcoming Netflix movie Red Notice, he was due to film a car chase with him behind the wheel of a Porsche.

However, when it came to actually rehearse the scene with director Rawson Marshall Thurber, The Rock noticed that they had a major problem.

In the caption for the post the 48-year-old star wrote:

Aaaaand guess who’s too big to fit in yet another sports car and now we have to change the entire shot sequence around

For our @netflix globe trotting heist movie, RED NOTICE, my writer/director @rawsonthurber (pictured here on the ground setting up the new camera angle) wrote this INSANE chase sequence where I hop in this iconic Porsche and be the bad ass behind the wheel that I am.

Well, after months of prep and costs buying and shipping this car over to the states - it’s time to rehearse the big chase sequence.

It goes as follows/

Rawson: Hey D, let’s get you in the Porsche and I’ll line up the shot.

DJ: Let’s do it.

* DJ attempts to get into the car only to get stuck because his back is a bit too wide.

Rawson: * laughs.

* DJ continues to struggle trying to shimmy into this Porsche like a big ass brown marshmallow getting shoved into a coin slot.

Rawson: Wait can you fit?

DJ: No.

*Rawson now nervously laughs.

Rawson: Are you f**king with me?

DJ: No.

Rawson: Oh my God.

The Rock added that after a few moments of silence, everyone on the set broke down in laughter but eventually managed to find a way to do the shot even if Johnson couldn't get in the car.

After about 15 seconds of uncomfortable silence... Rawson, myself and the entire crew just started laughing our asses off!!

F**k it. Welcome to 2020. In the end we showed our agility to think quick on our feet and found “creative” ways to still get the shot.

Thurber commented on The Rock's post, adding that it definitely helped and added a rather amusing hashtag.

100 per cent true and still one of my favourite moments on this entire shoot. But we’ve all been there, right? #BackAsWideAsACoffeeTable

We're still waiting to hear anything from Johnson's co-star Ryan Reynolds, who will no doubt have something sassy and hilarious to say about what went down.

Red Notice stars Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot and is set for a release in 2021.
