Taylor Swift has admitted she was wrong (over photo rights)

Taylor Swift may be all up in your timeline over a contretemps with Nicki Minaj, but the other reason she is in the news today is because she's just admitted her policy for photographers is wrong.

Poynter reports that the singer met with representatives from news and photography organisations to negotiate a new contract for pictures from her 1989 world tour.

Swift was criticised last month for the restrictions her team had imposed on photographers' work which let them remove images from photojournalists' cameras and did not allow reuse of images taken at her concerts.

A photographer who worked with her pointed out Swift's hypocrisy last month in asking Apple to revise their terms and conditions to be fairer to artists when she herself imposes unfair restrictions for photojournalists, which led to the new agreement.

“After taking the time to hear our concerns regarding her world tour photography guidelines agreement, the news and professional associations and Taylor’s team are very pleased to have been able to work together for a revised agreement that is fair to everyone involved,” Mickey Osterreicher, general counsel for the National Press Photographers Association, said in a statement.
