Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon went on Desert Island Discs and said a lot of sensible things.
But, no one can quite ignore her "ghastly" taste in music (read: muzak).
First off, let's discuss the important bits...
Speaking of the Scottish bid for independence, Sturgeon told presenter Kirsty Young that her politics is driven by a belief in the rightness of the cause and not by some sort of hatred for England.
I detested this idea that what we were arguing for was a rejection of England as a country or the English as a people.
Sturgeon also addressed the hurtful comments she has received over her childlessness.
As she and her husband - SNP chief executive Peter Murrell - do not have any children Sturgeon has been accused of putting her career above starting a family.
"The assumptions... are hurtful," she said.
The assumptions that some people make is that I have made a cold, calculating decision to put my career ahead of having a family and that is not true.
The SNP Leader also told of entering politics because of her anger at the impact of Margaret Thatcher on Scotland.
However, despite giving a rather moving and honest interview, listeners could not ignore her questionable choice of desert island discs.
Her eight records were:
Kate Bush - 'Wuthering Heights'
Duran Duran - 'Ordinary World'
Cilla Black - 'Step Inside Love'
Pumeza Matshikiza - 'Freedom Come All Ye'
The Proclaimers - 'Letter from America'
Eurhythmics and Aretha Franklin - 'Sisters are Doin' it for Themselves'
Labi Siffre - 'Something Inside So Strong'
Oh, and in case you were wondering... Her choice of book? The Complete Works of Jane Austen.
Luxury item? Coffee maker.
