Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have absolutely no intention of fake making up and fake ending their very fake feud.
In fact, they can't seem to stop stoking its fires by continuing to troll each other online. So much so that if we didn't know they were secretly BFFs it would truly feel very Kim vs Taylor, with strong Paris vs Lindsay energy.
In fact, it seems that Reynolds went full Kanye-at-the-VMAs with some serious-ish shade at his former castmate who's now been nominated for an Emmy.
In a video which was shared by Jackman on Twitter, Reynolds can he heard saying: "Buddy, congratulations! Just heard you got an Emmy nomination. That's just crazy. That's crazy, not because you don't deserve it... well."
It's hard to see what we mean so here, watch the 11-second clip for yourself.
Careful @VancityReynolds ... you’re looking a bit green. (Thank you @TelevisionAcad for making this moment possible… https://t.co/GO6qNHHzuH— Hugh Jackman (@Hugh Jackman) 1595964825
Reynolds does not appear to have tweeted since it was uploaded, so we can't know for sure if he's even aware that it's out there. The suspense!
The two have had an ongoing public feud-but-not-really since 2015, when they began tweeting amusing but also somewhat trolly tweets back and forth.
How well do you really know @RealHughJackman? https://t.co/cV0W7C4LE3— Ryan Reynolds (@Ryan Reynolds) 1541174987
HIGH ROAD. @VancityReynolds https://t.co/F0QJKXxIzJ— Hugh Jackman (@Hugh Jackman) 1541185910
So seeped into the fandom is this whole thing that people are genuinely begging for a Wolverine vs Deadpool movie just to see the rivalry play out.
In February the last year, the pair called a sort-of truce where they promised to make ads for each other's businesses, but unfortunately it didn't exactly pan out as expected...
Jackman has been nominated for outstanding lead actor in a limited series for his role as Frank Tassone in Bad Education.
We're rooting for him if nothing else then just to see how Reynolds responds...
