Ryan Reynolds hilariously wishes his 97-year-old 'ex-girlfriend' Betty White a happy birthday

As we already know, Ryan Reynolds is the king of social media and we will never cease to be amazed at his ability to put a smile on our faces.

However, we're not sure it's right that he is wishing his ex-girlfriends happy birthday on Twitter. We can't imagine his wife Blake Lively would be very happy about this and what about his kids?

Well, that's exactly what the Deadpool star did on earlier this week when he wished a happy birthday to Golden Girls actress Betty White, who turned 97 on Thursday.

Of course, this was just a little joke between Reynolds and White, who have been friends since they worked together on the 2009 rom-com The Proposal.

This blossomed into an odd but heartwarming friendship between the two who also appeared in a Funny or Die skit together.

Betty has also shared her thoughts on Deadpool in a hilarious Facebook review and Deadpool also wished her happy birthday in 2018 with an Instagram post.

Whilst it looks like White and Reynolds are bound to be best friends forever, he might have to fend off some interest from another superhero actor.

After the Twitter user, Emily Edwards suggested that Betty White stars in a buddy cop movie with Chris 'Captain America' Evans, the star confirmed that he was interested in the movie pitch.
