Pinocchio fans confused as new live-action movie 'doesn't have same ending'

Disney+ has just released its new live-action version of classic tale, Pinocchio.

However, despite its sweet nature, a supposed change in the ending of the tale has left viewers raising their eyebrows.

The story follows a wooden puppet who comes to life, and dreams of being a real boy (which he does in the 1940 adaption), however, it seems he doesn't get his wish in the 2022 version with Tom Hanks.

Instead, Geppetto (Hanks), Pinocchio, his goldfish, and cat, wash up on an island after an adventure at sea.
