The YouTuber, podcast host and amateur boxer Logan Paul has announced a surprise decision to relocate to Puerto Rico.

Paul, who made a name for himself with controversial videos and problematic pranks but has since found a more fruitful career in the world of boxing, is upping sticks and moving from Southern California to the US territory of Puerto Rico after admitting to “scouting it out” a week ago.

Speaking on the latest episode of his ‘imPaulsive’ podcast, the 25-year-old said, “I went out there to scout it, and I fell in love with it. Obviously, I’m impulsive, and I trust my gut, my instincts. I feel like it’s the closing of a chapter and the opening of a new one.”

Paul, who is originally from Ohio, added that he had also considered Texas and Miami as his new home but settled on Puerto Rico due to its low tax rate, relaxed lifestyle and a chance to live in relative isolation.

However, given Paul’s status as one of the most loathed individuals in the current online world, the thought of Limbaugh moving to Puerto Rico has not been greeted with enthusiasm by local residents, who have also been sent their sympathies by others.

Paul is due to fight boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in an upcoming exhibition match, the date of which is yet to be set.

The news of Paul’s surprise move comes not long after his own brother, Jake Paul, who has also taken up boxing, is set to move out of California and relocate to Florida, where is his to continue his boxing training.
