Former Oasis front men the Gallagher brothers have gone their separate ways musically, but there's always that special sibling bond.
The two are the subject of the documentary Oasis:Supersonic, due to be released in October.
In preparation for the release Liam was the subject of the 60 second interview in Thursday's Metro.
The interview asked Liam things like 'how long have you ever partied?' and how he felt having seen old footage of his relationship with Noel during better days.
On the topic of their strained relationship Liam said:
He’s [Noel's] like: [puts on whiney voice] ‘He can’t sing.’ ‘F***ing do one, potato’. It’s stupid and it’s childish and we should know better, but we don’t.
The interviewer asked:
Why do you call Noel 'potato'?
Liam's answer was succinct:
’Cos he looks like one.
Well that settles that then.
The potato feud has been a hallmark of the dispute between the brothers Gallagher.
In June Liam irritated Noel and his fans with this tweet.
And then in July did the same again with these two tweets.
Speaking to the Toronto Star after the June potato jibe, Noel said:
If you’re him, what else is there to tweet about? How his spring/summer collections are doing for his clothing firm? I’m not sure that warrants a tweet. Should he ever climb out of the 'where are they now?' basket and grant you an interview, ask him. I’m sure you’ll get a typically f***ing surreal answer.
To be fair to Liam, his answer wasn't 'surreal', but to the point.
