Kylie Jenner has denied calling herself 'brown-skinned girl' in after rumours were spread on social media about an edited Instagram post from the reality TV star.
The 23-year-old makeup mogul, was criticised on social media on Monday after she posted an Instagram picture with the caption 'brown-eyed girl.'
However, the caption had been edited leading some to suggest that Jenner had changed the caption from 'brown-skinned girl', which she now denies.
Jenner moved quickly to deny these allegations against her by posting a series of Instagram Stories that showed that the caption had been edited, but originally featured just emojis before she added the words. It never contained the words 'brown-skinned girl'.
On the app she wrote:
Here's the fake version that everyone believed. Saw online someone Photoshopped this photo I posted to change my caption from 'brown eyed girl' to 'brown skinned girl.' I never said this.

The Mirror reports that she had also shut down the allegations in the comments on the post by saying:
This is photoshopped. Never said this. Have a good day.
Jenner is often a source for criticism online. She was recently accused of not crediting fashion designers in her posts and received backlash for appearing in Cardi B's WAP music video.
But it seems like this time it is a case of misinformation spreading, rather than the reality star doing anything that warrants criticism.
