Actor and filmmaker Eli Russel Linnetz has shared a never-before-seen music video for Tyga and Kanye West's 2017 song 'Feel Me'.
The video was posted on Instagram and Twitter, with Linnetz saying he directed the video three years ago, but no one's ever seen it.
Linnetz also directed the music videos for West's 'Fade' and 'Famous'. He claims the video for 'Feel Me' was never released because it heavily featured Kylie Jenner, who was dating Tyga at the time, but its release was cancelled after the two broke up.
According to Linnetz, the video took five months and cost nearly $1m to make.
The three-and-a-half-minute video shows a larger-than-life Kylie Jenner dancing and, errr, feeling herself, as lightning strikes and monster trucks circulate.
Then, Jenner's sister and West's wife Kim Kardashian pops up – also disproportionately sized compared to the cars – and begins to dance, before appearing to sit with her legs spread as a smaller version of Jenner strolls into view from between them.
The symbolism of Kim Kardashian birthing Kylie Jenner is pretty obvious, but for avoidance of doubt, Linnetz confirmed to E! that:
It features Kylie coming out of Kim's vagina. The metaphorical meaning being that there would be no Kylie without Kim.
But people were left baffled by why this is the premise of the video at all... or what any of the other scenes are supposed to represent.
@elirusellinnetz Why are they walking around a monster truck rally ? Why are they giants? What does it all mean?— Kay Dubb (@Kay Dubb) 1599181215
Linnetz explained that the video was supposed to embody the concept of humankind battling against machines:
It's the visual smashing of American iconography, man made machinery battling man-made women. A battle of machines set in a futuristic mysterious magic arena.
Neither Tyga nor West have commented on the video, but it has since been removed from YouTube due to a copyright claim for the song.
