There have been a few unlikely heroes to emerge into the mainstream since the US election but none are quite as iconic as John Fetterman, the lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania.
President Trump has been relentless in his attempts to overturn votes and change the election results in Pennsylvania but so far he has been completely unsuccessful.
According to CNN, the latest attempt by Trump’s team to bring a legal case against Pennsylvania to invalidate millions of votes has been dismissed by the state’s supreme court.Â
Five out of seven judges wrote that they believed the lawsuit had been presented to them far too late after the election process and that Republicans couldn’t reconfigure their claims to attempt to bring forward another complaint.
Following this most recent announcement and dismissal of Trump’s claims, Fetterman took a rather amusing swipe at the president when he quoted Ariana Grande’s modern classic ‘thank u, next’ on Twitter.
Fetterman added that there is ‘zero chance’ of Republicans ever flipping the results for Trump in Pennsylvania and further trolled them with a gif from Dumb and Dumber.
Fetterman has quickly become a star in his own right in the past few weeks due to his unique look and intimidating stature.
His various media appearances where he has defending voting practices in Pennsylvania against claims of fraud has led to US political commentator John Oliver dubbing him  ‘Lt. Gov Stone Cold’ due to Fetterman’s resemblance to WWE legend ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin.
Needless to say, not only does Fetterman look like he could comfortably handle himself he also knows his contemporary pop music so its two thumbs up from us.
