Friends, the TV show, finished in 2004.
This was 12 years ago, which makes it all the more baffling that the internet still has a preoccupation with the series.
Yet, somehow, there's a new theory abounding round Joey Tribbiani, Matt LeBlanc's character.
Digital Spy noticed that Star Trek actor Brent Spiner once interviewed Rachel for a job at Gucci. His character was called James Campbell.
However, in the spin-off of Friends, based around Joey, called Joey, Joey actually meets the actor Brent Spiner.
Why is this important?
Well, in the scheme of things, it isn't. But Digital Spy thinks this means in Joey, Joey is a real person, who played Joey Tribbiani.
Let's be clear:
Joey, the show, documents the actor Joey Tribbiani, who played Joey Tribbiani on Friends. Much like Will Smith in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
Joey Tribbiani on Friends was all a role, Joey Tribbiani on Joey was the real deal.
Heresy, I know. But that's what they think.
Alternatively, Brent Spiner forgot to mention that he had a minor role on Friends when auditioning for Joey, or the makers of Joey didn't care about continuity.
You choose the answer preferable to you.
Now we just have to work out where Top Gear and Episodes fit in the Tommy Westphall universe.
