Amandla Stenberg is a pretty bad-ass 16-year-old - not only is she a successful actress, she's also something of a race issues champion, calling out cultural appropriation and racism where she sees it in the media and online.
When reality TV star Kylie Jenner posted a selfie this weekend of her hair in cornrows, the Hunger Games star decided to say something.
In comments on Kylie's post that have since been deleted but were captured in a screenshot by Vibe, Amandla took Kylie to task for being selective over the parts of black culture she chooses to embrace, an issue she's been called out on before:
"When u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter," Amandla wrote.
Ding ding ding oh what was that oh yeah the elevator cause you're not on my level.
Mic reports Kylie responded by saying, "Mad if I don't, mad if I do ... go hang w Jaden [Smith] or something."
