Gary Barlow in one of the slowest non-apologies in recent memory

Gary Barlow took to Twitter last night to 'apologise to anyone who was offended by the tax stories earlier this year', roughly four months after tax avoidance allegations surrounding the singer surfaced.

His delayed (non-)apology was met with derision on social media, with many pointing out that his wording seemed to suggest that he was merely apologising if anyone was offended by the 'stories', rather than any actual embezzlement involved.

Barlow, along with former Take That members Howard Donald, Mark Owen and their manager, Jonathan Wild, reportedly invested £66m in Icebreaker partnerships, with a judge deciding in May that the scheme was a tax avoidance ploy.

After that clarification, the singer then took the opportunity to announce a new tour:
