From her documentary series that detailed her trials and tribulations to her anticipated album and officially coming out, you can’t help but feel proud of Demi Lovato.
On Tuesday, Lovato made an appearance on the latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience to discuss her upcoming album, “Dancing with the Devil ... the art of Starting Over,” the new documentary, and much more.
Within the conversation, Rogan and Lovato spoke about having children and getting married in the future and about Lovato’s engagement to Max Ehrich as she spoke on her attraction to people as “fluid.”
“I also don’t know if I’m going to end up with a guy, so I can’t really see myself maybe getting pregnant,” said Lovato on the topic of having children. “I’m so fluid now — and a part of the reason why I am so fluid is because I was super closeted off.”
Shortly after the admission, Rogan asked some clarifying questions about Lovato’s fluidity, even asking if pansexual was a right fit for her. “Yeah, pansexual,” she said happily.
But what does pansexual mean?
In short, pansexuality is the attraction to people regardless of their gender identity.
She also mentioned how there was a phrase someone used that she really liked.

“I heard someone call the LGBTQIA+ community the ‘alphabet mafia,’ and I was like, ‘That’s it. That’s what I’m going with,’” she said. “I’m part of the alphabet mafia and proud.”
Earlier this month, Lovato was in a cover story with Glamour. She spoke about wanting to get to the specifics of her identity with her audience sooner rather than later.
“I know who I am and what I am, but I’m just waiting until a specific timeline to come out to the world as what I am,” she said. I’m following my healer’s timeline, and I’m using this time to really study and educate myself on my journey and what I’m preparing to do.”
There’s nothing wrong with owning your truth!
