Channing Tatum had a very, very brief stint working as a stripper.
He made no secret of his past, and his grinding even inspired the Magic Mike franchise.
However, during the most recent instalment of Jimmy Kimmel Live - which Tatum was guest hosting - he admitted there was one person who, until a few years ago, remained in the dark about it.
Father Tatum.
Awkward.
It wasn’t until Channing’s appearance on the Ellen Degeneres Show in 2010, in which he gave her a brief lap dance, that his dad discovered his stripper past.
Chatting to Degeneres in his role as guest host, the pair reminisced about it:
The first time you were on the show, you showed me the flexibility of your spine.
To which Tatum responded:
That was my very first time on your show, and I gotta let you know that was the first time my dad actually found out that I was a stripper for a short time.
And how did father Tatum taken the news?
Not well. I mean really really not well.
