Billie Eilish leaves people speechless after admitting that she ‘doesn’t know how much things cost’

Billie Eilish stunned fans when she revealed she paid $35 dollars for a box of cereal claiming she “doesn’t know how much things cost.”

The Gen-Z singing sensation accidentally received 70 boxes of Froot Loops in the hilarious online shopping blunder.

"It's a really weird position I'm in," said Eilish, for her cover shoot with Vanity Fair. "I feel kind of stupid because I'm like, I don't know how much Froot Loops are. I tried to order one box of Froot Loops and I was like, 'Oh yeah, sure. It's $35.' I didn't know that that's expensive."

Safe to say Eilish fans were shocked by the singer’s confession.

As one person tweeted, “i aspire to be as rich as billie eilish not knowing how much one box of froot loops cereal costs and paying 35$ with no questions asked.”

While others were concerned that the singer hasn’t spent much time in a supermarket.

“But seriously, at 16 i knew how much cereal, shoes, a watch, a beach chair, and 5 gal of gas cost. I worry for my grandkids future,” commented another Twitter user.

Meanwhile, Eilish, who shot to fame when she was still school age, reminds people that she “has never been an adult before.” Now 19, Eilish is said to be worth $53M according to Forbesand is one of the youngest celebrities to make its coveted ‘30 Under 30’ lists in 2019.

"I don't know what things cost because I've never been an adult before," she explained. "And, you know, I grew up with no money."

The Grammy-award winner grew up in Los Angeles and was homeschooled along with brother Finneas who produces many of her songs. Eilish has spent most of her adolescence in the spotlight and was just 17 when she released the phenomenally successful album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? in 2019.

The Bad Guy singer’s new fly-on-the-wall documentary, entitled Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry, is set to be released to Apple TV next month. Filmed from 2018 into early 2020, the film is said to show intimate and difficult moments of the young star’s life.

“It’s really about my life, me, in such a way that I was not expecting, and was pretty brutal to relive,” she explained in the Vanity Fair interview.

Eilish’s world tour WHERE DO WE GO? was cancelled due to the pandemic however her new album is currently in the works.
