Although wearing masks are important during this time, most of them don’t have a filtration system, LED day glow lights, and noise-canceling audio microphone capabilities.
That’s because most masks aren’t created from the mind of Will.i.am.
Will.i.am is working alongside the manufacturing company Honeywell for a unique piece of technology, XUPERMASK, a product aimed to revolutionize the mask game.
XUPERMASK uses Honeywell’s HEPA filtration technology with specs straight from the mind of the multi-faceted Black Eyed Peas producer and MC, such as a noise-canceling and noise reduction microphone, Bluetooth 5.0, and magnetic earbud docking.
“We have a huge opportunity to do something really big and solve problems that a lot of folks making masks before have ignored,” he said about XUPERMASK.
Way to spearhead the future of masks!

“We have a huge opportunity to do something really big and solve problems that a lot of folks making masks before have ignored,” he said about XUPERMASK.
The artist linked with Jose Fernandez, who created costumes for Batman, Spiderman, and Tron films. He also was interested in his work from the time the Black Eyed Peas headlined the Super Bowl halftime show a few years ago.
“I knew it should be Jose like, ‘Yo Jose look, bro, let’s make a mask. Are you busy right now?’ He was like, ‘Well, actually I’m not. People aren’t filming anything right now. So, you got me a hundred percent right now,’” Will said.
He continued: “So, thank the Lord that he was available. To have that level of a designer be a part of your company is phenomenal.”
Will initially came up with the design after realizing how hard it was communicating on the phone with others when wearing a mask at the start of the pandemic.
Also, the mask had its debut in BEP’s “FEEL THE BEAT” music video featuring Maluma in 2020.
Moreover, XUPERMASK also comes with an elastic strap and buckle contraption, comes in two colorways ( black and orange or white, gray and orange), and will come in two sizes. It will also include a complimentary XUPERKIT which includes a three-month supply of HEPA filters, ear tips, a USBC-C charger, and a fabric mask.
XUPERMASK is retailed at US$299 and will be released in Canada, the UK, the US, and the EU on April 8.
