We asked people whether they really wanted an Apple Watch when they could have a watch that shot fire for just £20

Pre-orders have begun for the Apple Watch, aiming to banish our doubts about wearable technology’s feasibility as well as to ensure a Minority Report-esque world inches ever closer.

We decided to test the real enthusiasm for the Apple Watch on the streets of London by asking people to choose between the £479 wearable and a watch that not only tells the time but also shoots a jet of flame some 2in into the sky, and for just £20.
