This student could have just saved your life

A 23-year-old graduate student has created an "ambulance drone" designed to save lives by reducing response times to medical emergencies.

Alec Momont's drone is fitted with an internal defibrillator and can reach heart attack victims within minutes, flying at speeds up to 100 km/h (60 mph).

The drone is equipped with an audio and video connection that will allow medical professionals to deliver instructions to those on the ground until paramedics arrive at the scene.

While Momont has not yet had his drone adopted by any emergency services, authorities in Amsterdam have reportedly expressed an interest. Each drone is expected to cost around $22,500 (£14,050).
