This is what the iPhone 6 launch event looks like on an Apple device

Apple is unveiling the iPhone 6, we, um, think.

The live video stream of the event in Cupertino, California, is only available via Safari, a browser designed by Apple.

But unfortunately the above image (taken on an iPad) is all millions of people can see when they visit apple.com/live.

i100 managed to get the live stream to work for a bit, but then we couldn't hear what Apple boss Tim Cook was saying because an unwarranted Mandarin translation was drowning him out.

More as we get it (maybe).
