On 23 October, New York Times Magazine ran a rather... unusual poll.
In "Dear Reader," a weekly survey of their audience, the question was posed:
Twitter was understandably baffled by the poll, which found that 42 per cent of the magazine's readers would opt to go back in time to kill Adolf Hitler as a baby.
And safe to say, things got pretty weird, pretty quickly.
Many responses were of the SMH variety.
And several people decided to troll the magazine back.
The NYT Mag's poker face was impervious, though.
The magazine then tried to get its sister publication involved...
