Google has released the figures that show which terms were searched for most in 2014 in their "A Year in Search" list.
Most searched (global)
Across the world the death of the Hollywood actor and comedian saw "Robin Williams" as the most searched term, shortly followed by "World Cup 2014" for the tournament in Brazil.

In Britain, "Robin Williams" was one of four celebrity deaths to make the top 10 but fell behind the World Cup and iPhone 6.
