Man 'finds revenge dildo in his shopping basket' after leaving a bad review on Amazon

An IT contractor based in Ireland has accused an Amazon employee of a "revenge plot" having found a 10.25in dildo in his online shopping basket.

The man, named as Pedro, said he left negative feedback on a customer satisfaction survey after he was sent the wrong book, and eventually told that the book he wanted wasn't in stock.

Pedro then claimed that he spotted the rogue "Hulk 10.25 Huge Dong Black" when he opened his Amazon account at work. He told Ars Technica:

If my best friend did it to me while I wasn't watching, of course I would find it funny... I'm not a prude.

The problem is, I was at the office, in an open space, with people behind me. A guy and two girls were sitting by me when I opened up Amazon and they saw the contents of my shopping basket.

Pedro (who's surname has not been released for privacy reasons) said he was given a €100 credit from Amazon Germany as a gesture of goodwill. Pedro also claimed that the Amazon employee who helped him was unable to explain how it could be possible for an employee to see Pedro's feedback and then add the giant sex toy to his basket.

Some people remain a little skeptical about Pedro's claims:

Amazon did not deny the story when approached by i100.co.uk, but explained:

We have been in contact with our customer regarding this issue and have clarified the entire situation – we feel deeply sorry for our customer who has had this experience. No further comments can be made from our side due to confidentiality.
