On Thursday 23 March, the Metropolitan Police Service began a concerted campaign against hate crime and terrorism, following the attack on Westminster on Wednesday.
It echoed the words of Mayor of London Sadiq Khan's statement following the attack.
People began tweeting using the hashtag "#westandtogether" and it quickly trended in the UK.
