It’s time to get your thinking caps on.

The CIA has tasked Twitter users and aspiring agents alike to “put their analytical skills to the test” to deduce the time of day a photo was taken. The intelligence service gave three possible answers: 3PM, 11AM or 7AM.

The scene features a quiet and sun-dappled ski resort with snowy hills and few cars on the road.

Take a look at the photo and see if you can figure it out.

Plenty of intrepid sleuths gave their answers and reasonings, citing everything from the parked school buses to the size of the shadows.

One user wrote: “The cars in the parking lot have snow on hoods. Long shadows. Nobody’s skiing yet. Only 1 car on the road. No pedestrians. My initial guess was, midnight in 1 of those climes where the sun’s up all year round in winter.”

Another came to a different conclusion: “I would say it's 7 am because the streets have not been plowed yet, and seeing evergreen trees I bet they have snow plows and ample snow removal tools ready. I believe that if it was any other time of day the roads would be clearer since it is not currently snowing.”

So, what did you guess? Check the poll below to find out the correct answer.

That’s right! The time at the ski resort was 7AM.

Did you guess correctly?
