Lord Alan Sugar posted a controversial tweet about the Senegal football team, and many are calling out its racism.

In a now- deleted tweet, Lord Sugar said:

I recognise some of these guys from the beach in Marbella. Multi tasking resourceful chaps.

The photo shows the Senegal football team, next to sunglasses and bags.

It was swiftly condemned.

BuzzFeed's Hannah Al-Othman pointed out that the tweet is not funny...

He responded to by saying it was 'meant to be funny'.

But people were not impressed.

He wanted to know, if it was so offensive, why people had been retweeting it...

Kelechi Okafor very calmly pointed out she retweeted so that 'people are made aware of your bigotry'.

Following the condemnation, Lord Sugar removed the tweet and attempted a form of clarification...

People aren't so easily appeased.
