An artist is turning those pesky stretch marks into beautiful works of art using only glitter.
Sara Shakeel used to be a dentist but now she is dazzling people with her digital art which mostly consist of collages.
She has really caught the attention of the Internet when she began to transform her own body and other peoples into works of art.
Rather than hide her stretch marks she has used them to her advantage and applied glitter to them with the wonders of Photoshop.
She's celebrated them, making them look like something from a sci-fi movie or a reveller at a festival.
Sara has seen her incredible pictures go viral on Instagram with thousands of people commenting on the photos to express how amazed they are.
In one of her posts she writes:
Where I come from and live, to be on the chubby side or to even talk about stretch marks is not something one is proud of.
I have seen my stretch marks grow from the day I started putting on weight.
I’ll be honest – even before uploading it I was thinking why would anyone be interested in my concept of stretch marks turned into glitter or crystals.
My god I was so wrong.
The Metro report that Sara is from Pakistan and tried her hand at art and photo editing after dropping out of dental school.
Her images are just another strand the highly popular and empowering body positive trend that encourages women on Instagram to not hide their insecurities and celebrate their imperfections.
