A woman is being investigated after a viral video showed her punching a dog while wearing a pair of boxing gloves.

In the clip shared by the Animal Hope & Wellness Foundation, the woman, who has been reportedly identified as London Miner from Boise, Idaho, repeatedly punches a German Shepard on either side of its head.

The Facebook clip has been viewed more than 400,000 times and Miner is now said to be under investigation by the Idaho Humane Society.

In the short video, she can be heard saying "I hit him so hard; I felt that too" while a man, who is presumably filming the video can be heard laughing.

According to the Idaho Humane Society, its Animal Care and Control department has received an "overwhelming number" of calls in response to the video, demanding that the dog be rescued.

As per the investigation, the society has said it is "pending review at the local prosecutor’s office for a charging decision."

In August 2019, the YouTube influencer Brooke Houts received widespread backlash after video emerged of her repeatedly hitting and shouting at her doberman dog.
