Sheffield University is the best place in Britain to study for a degree, according to the Times Higher Education student experience survey.
The South Yorkshire campus rose from third place in a national table last year to secure first place, knocking the previous winner, the University of East Anglia, off the top spot.
Full-time undergraduates were asked to rank their universities in 21 categories, including the quality of staff, lectures, social life and accommodation, with more than 14,000 students responding.
A breakdown of the results by category shows that Oxford was the most highly rated by students for high-quality staff and lectures, Sheffield was top for its students' union and Bath scored the highest for industry connections.
The top 10:
1. Sheffield
2. Bath
3. University of East Anglia
4. Oxford/Dundee
