A man called Dr Gammons has joined Ukip and it's so ridiculous no one can believe it's real

Sometimes things happen that are just so good it's hard to believe they're real.

Case in point yesterday, when Ukip posted a video of a "very intelligent and articulate man", who has defected to them from Nigel Farage's Brexit Party.

So far, so generic, but wait for it, the man's name is... Dr Peter Gammons.

Yep. DOCTOR GAMMONS.

Obviously, everyone was highly amused.
