Two quotes that perfectly sum up the Greece crisis

Last night, Greece voted decisively to reject more austerity, as 61.3 per cent voted 'No' to the demands of the country’s creditors.

The reactions to the referendum result were mixed to say the least and suggest Greece's problems are far from over.

Jeroen Dijsselbloem, Eurogroup Chairman, 5 July 2015:

I take note of the outcome of the Greek referendum. This result is very regrettable for the future of Greece. For recovery of the Greek economy, difficult measures and reforms are inevitable. We will now wait for the initiatives of the Greek authorities. The Eurogroup will discuss the state of play on Tuesday 7 July.

Alexis Tsipras, Greek Prime Minister, 5 July 2015:

Today is a day of celebration, because democracy is a celebration, it is joy. And when democracy conquers fear and blackmail, then it is also redemption, it is a way out.

Greece owes approximately €323bn, about 60 per cent of which is owed to Eurozone countries.
