Turns out Jeremy Renner is not sorry for slut-shaming the Black Widow

Remember when Jeremy Renner and Chris Evans both apologised for calling Scarlett Johansson's Avengers: Age of Ultron character the Black Widow a "slut"?

Turns out Renner was not as sorry as his statement "I am sorry that this tasteless joke about a fictional character offended anyone" would suggest.

Speaking on the Conan O'Brien talkshow, Renner said the "off coloured" joke was about a "fictional character" and "fictional behaviour", adding:

If you slept with four out of the six Avengers, no matter how much fun you had, you'd be a slut. Just saying. I'd be a slut.

The original comments, which i100.co.uk reported on last week, were roundly criticised, with many fans stating how disappointed they were. Responding to Renner's latest remarks , Tumblr user Melyssa Ambrosia said:

We have so few female superheroes.. And Jeremy Renner wants to go and degrade one of the toughest Marvel characters by calling her a slut for sleeping with four of the Avengers. I’m sorry. I didn’t know Mr. Renner was the high authority and decider of sluts.

We guess "internet trouble" is something Renner will have to get used to.
