Trump uses bizarre Mar-a-Lago wedding speech to rant about Biden

Donald Trump used an appearance at a wedding reception at Mar-a-Lago over the weekend as an opportunity to talk about his favourite subject – himself.

TMZ reported that the former president surprised newlyweds John and Megan Arrigo at their wedding on Saturday night by taking to the floor for a short speech.

However, instead of talking about the happy couple, Trump launched into a rant similar to one of his campaign speeches, listing his personal grievances over foreign policy and the 2020 election result...

“I get all these splash reports, and they’re telling me about the border, they’re telling me about China, they’re telling me about Iran,” he told the wedding guests.

“We were ready to make a deal, they were ready to do anything, they would have done anything. And this guy [Joe Biden] goes and drops the sanctions and then he says we’d like to negotiate now.”

With his Twitter account still suspended, Trump is clearly looking for any outlet he can get…

To be fair, the former president’s appearance wasn’t exactly unwelcome, as the Arrigos appear to be Trump supporters.

A Buzzfeed News article from 2018 notes that Joe Arrigo and his sons, Jim and John, are members of Mar-a-Lago and Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, and they were reportedly invited to tour Air Force One in 2017.

At the very least, Trump received a warm response from guests, who cheered enthusiastically when he asked them: “Do you miss me yet?”
