Trump team mercilessly mocked over ‘ridiculous’ trip to Texas

In what has been a chaotic presidency to say the least, Trump’s team has now announced that he will visit the town of Alamo in Texas on Tuesday in potentially his final trip in office.

The trip is reportedly to mark the completion of the 400 mile border wall that was central to Trump’s election campaign before he was elected in 2016.

The small town sits on the America-Mexico border in the Rio Grande Valley and will be the second time Trump has visited the town during his presidency.

Many have seen this as Trump’s attempt to highlight the ‘achievements’ of his dwindling presidency that has been marred throughout, but particularly recently with the riots on Capitol Hill by his own supporters.

People also used this announcement to mock the Trump team based on their events that have missed the mark in the past, including the infamous press conference that took place outside of a landscaping company instead of the Four Seasons hotel.

One person wrote, “The Alamo in question”, along with a picture of a cinema building.

In the same vein, others joked that the press conference would take place outside an Alamo - a car rental agency in the US.

Others were downright confused by the location choice.

Presumably, someone on the team has double-checked the booking this time.
