Trump says Democrats ‘will take your guns away’ hours after synagogue shooting and the internet reacted

Donald Trump is not one to hold back when it comes to hosting campaign rallies, and his latest event in Wisconsin was no exception.

During a rambling two hour speech, he referred to the FBI as "scum", claimed that mothers and doctors can decide to “execute” babies after they are born and said relocating undocumented immigrants to sanctuary cities was his "sick idea".

But he didn’t stop there. On the same day as the synagogue shooting in San Diego which killed one woman and left three injured, Trump told the crowd that Democrats “will take your guns away”.

Criticising the opposition party, he said:

The Democrat party, radical, left. They should change that too.

Call it officially ‘the radical left Democrat party’… will drive the country into economic and financial ruin very quickly.

And they will take your guns away too, by the way.

The rally audience booed after hearing these words, but the internet had a different take.

Some people highlighted that what Trump said just isn't true.

Others simply responded with a list of recent mass shootings in which an AR-15-style weapon was used.

As one person pointed out, US politics is becoming ever more dystopian as the 2020 election nears.
