Donald Trump’s stay at his private Florida resort was interrupted last week, after a company rented a billboard to share their pro LGBTQ+ message to the former President.
Folx Health, which provides testosterone and healthcare products to the transgender community rented a billboard last Friday, with the message: “Trans Lives Are Precious” emblazoned on it.
Their campaign coincided with International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDoV), which took place on Wednesday and the billboard will remain by Trump’s resort Mar-a-Lago until 18 April.
Writing on Instagram, the company said: “We chose this location deliberately to remind our former president, a man that was focused on dismantling the rights of transgender Americans, that our existence is valid and important and that we deserve to be seen, held and cared for.”
Trump’s policies towards transgender people during his tenure included limiting the definition of sex discrimination “to the plain meaning of the word ‘sex’ as name or female and as determined by biology,” and disqualifying those with gender dysphoria from joining the military.

Biden, on the other hand has spoken out in support of the LGBTQ+ community and has called on Congress to enhance their rights.
On TDoV he said: “Their trailblazing work has given countless transgender individuals the bravery to live openly and authentically. This hard-fought progress is also shaping an increasingly accepting world in which peers at school, teammates and coaches on the playing field, colleagues at work, and allies in every corner of society are standing in support and solidarity with the transgender community.”
Let’s just hope the billboard doesn’t interfere too much with Trump’s view.
