President Trump's uncompromising dedication to his border wall is a topic that doesn't look like it's going to get sorted anytime soon.
Not only did he shut down the government over funding for the construct but he has also given speeches on the issue which were so bad, even Fox Newsfact-checked it.
It's obvious that Trump really likes walls and wants to build a barrier that will be so effective that no one can get around it, over it or through it.
Yet, back on May 21 2004 Trump was all for people being able to evade walls and even gave public speeches on how to get around them.
A clip recently shared by The Daily Show shows Trump at a commencement ceremony at Wagner College on New York's Staten Island passionately talking about a 'concrete wall' and how you must do everything in your power to get to the other side.
Don’t give up. Don’t allow it to happen.
If there’s a concrete wall in front of you, go through it, go over it, go around it, but get to the other side of that wall.
Trump was receiving an honorary doctorate from the college when he made the comments about the obviously metaphorical wall. His full speech can be seen here.
Trump was given the doctorate for humane letters but since his election victory, 33 professors and over 70 alumni from the school have demanded that it be rescinded.
The college is yet to address the matter publicly but even if the wall does get built, anyone hoping to get into the United States should probably just listen to this advice from Trump himself.
