At some point in everyone's life, whether we care to admit it or not, we cease being a 'young person' and either become middle-aged or old.
It's a sad fact of life but it's clearly something that Donald Trump doesn't subscribe to as at the ripe old age of 72 - he believes he is the "the youngest person".
That isn't 'fake news' or hyperbole. That is actually something that the president told reporters on the lawn of the White House this morning.
Trump was asked by a reporter if he believed that Joe Biden, who announced on Thursday that he is running for president in 2020, whether, at the age of 76, he is too old for the job.
In response, Trump amazingly said:
Well, I just feel like a young man. I'm so young.
I can't believe it. I'm the youngest person. I am a young, vibrant man.
I look at Joe, I don't know about him. I don't know.
Now it's possible that Trump is just being a bit flippant here, after all, he is younger than the likes of Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders - but he could be 100 per cent serious. Who knows how that man's mind works?
Needless to say, Twitter was just as baffled as anyone else.
Just for reference, at least 16 of the Democrats who have declared their candidacy for 2020 are younger than Trump, so there is only a handful of people that are actually older than him.
