Nobody likes travelling in budget buses; they’re usually cramped, the air conditioner is almost never working and you will at one point have slept like a contortionist.
But cheap is cheap, and those choosing low-cost travel are aware, and acceptant of these annoyances so long as the bus doesn't blow midway.
That’s exactly what happened to a Chicago Megabus filled with passengers and headed for Milwaukee on Sunday.
Lucas Peterson, a journalist who writes for The New York Times’ Frugal Traveler blog, tweeted the entire sordid affair.
Unfortunately for the passengers, Megabus has a $250 liability coverage, which means passengers with laptops, jewelry and other valuables will not be covered.
