Following the ongoing debate over LGBT+ lessons in primary schools, prompted by protests at a school in Birmingham, LGBT+ issues have been in the news a lot lately.
Clearly, not everyone is happy about that. Many people, even in 2019, would prefer that LGBT+ issues and people were kept behind closed doors.
This was made apparent when comedian Tom Allen shared a comment he’d received on Facebook. It read:
We are all very aware your gay, please stop mentioning it every five minutes it’s 2019. We genuinely don’t care…
To this, Allen had the perfect response. Posting a lengthy retort on Twitter with the caption:
Did I get this right?
It reads:
People on Twitter loved his response.
