Tiffany Trump mocked for saying 'whether you know it or not, you're a Trump supporter'

Tiffany Trump just bizarrely tried to claim that you’re probably a Trump supporter, “whether you realise it or not”.

During her speech at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday evening, the 26-year-old fourth child of Donald Trump heaped praise on her dad.

But it’s a point in her speech about the freedoms in the US that caught people’s attention.

She said:

So tonight I want to tell you the uncensored truth of what we believe in. We believe in equality of opportunity. We believe in freedom of thought and expression. Think what you want, seek out the truth, learn from those with different opinions and then freely make your voice heard to the world.

We believe in school choice because a child’s zip code in America should not determine their future. We believe in freedom of religion for all faiths. And we believe in the American spirit, a country founded on ideas, not identity, a country where our differences are embraced and the only country where the word dream has been attached to it.

Because in America, your life is yours to chart.

And then came the bizarre statement...

If you’re hearing these things and thinking to yourself ‘that is the kind of country that I want to live in,’ well whether you realise it or not, you are a Trump supporter.

People on social media couldn’t believe she was basically ascribing a whole bunch of people as Trump supporters – who may share some of the aforementioned beliefs – but who are definitely not Trump supporters.

So many reacted in horror to being called a Trump supporter:

The Republican National Convention is in full swing, with two more days left to go.

Mike Pence is scheduled to give a speech on Wednesday evening, with Trump and his daughter Ivanka due to speak on Thursday.
