Tiffany Trump is rarely in the spotlight compared to her half-siblings Ivanka, Eric and Donald Jr.
She's made more headlines for perceived snubs and insults than she has for taking any real, active role in her father's election campaigns or presidency.
All that seemed to be changing earlier this yea, as she spoke at the Republican National Convention and took a firm stance on Joe Biden, calling him a "liar".
But all too often, Tiffany Trump has ended up being ignored or insulted by Donald Trump. Here's 6 times Trump has snubbed his 26 year-old daughter.
1. Tiffany wasn’t included (much) in her father's 2020 re-election campaign.
Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, are special advisers to the president.
Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump, meanwhile, helped out with their father's re-election campaign.
But, as Politicoput it:
Tiffany Trump is not expected to play any role in the campaign, apart from appearing at the occasional event.
"The occasional event" included the Republican National Convention, at which Tiffany tried to claim you're a Trump supporter "whether you realise it or not".
2. Trump said he's proud of Tiffany "to a lesser extent" than his other children.
On election day in 2016, Trump said:
I'm very proud of my children. I mean, I'm just looking at them right now as an example... but I'm very proud 'cause Don and Eric and Ivanka and, you know, to a lesser extent, 'cause she just got out of school, out of college, but, uh, Tiffany, who's also been so terrific. I mean, they work so hard.
Surely most parents just say they're proud of all their children and leave it at that.
3. Trump failed to wish his daughter a happy birthday.
Trump didn't publicly wish Tiffany a happy 26th birthday.
To add insult to injury, he did wish the United States navy a happy birthday on the same day. He also wished Ivanka, Eric and Donald Jr a happy birthday.
4. Trump left Tiffany (and only Tiffany) out of his transition team.
Tiffany was the only one of Trump's adult offspring not appointed to his transition team, a group of around 100 aides who recommended, interviewed and vetted potential candidates for federal jobs in 2016.
To be fair, Tiffany was only 22 at the time, so perhaps she was too busy graduating from the University of Pennsylvania and starting her postgraduate law degree at Georgetown University to get seriously involved in politics.
So this one we might have to give Trump a pass on.
5. Trump gave Tiffany a less-than-enthusiastic introduction at a talk in Ohio.
In 2018, Trump introduced his two daughters at a talk on infrastructure in Ohio. He said:
Speaking of a job well done, we have two of my daughters here today. Ivanka, who is working hard on infrastructure. Ivanka... and Tiffany!
No prizes for guessing who might be the favourite...
6. Trump said that Tiffany is "separate" from the rest of the family.
In an interview with New York magazine in 2004, Trump said that Tiffany is "separate" from the children born to his first wife, Ivana.
After saying that "every guy in the country wants to go out with" Ivanka, Trump reportedly added:
You know, I have another daughter, with Marla, named Tiffany? She's just a beautiful, great kid also.
But it's very separate. When you have separate wives it's sort of... separate.Â
Tiffany is Trump's only child with his second wife, Marla Marples. He had three children with Ivana – Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric – and one child with Melania, Barron.
Tiffany probably doesn't need to worry too much about her father's opinion of her, however.
Aside from her law degree, Tiffany Trump has 1.2 million Instagram followers, a famous mother and a billionaire boyfriend.
So we think she'll probably do just fine.
